ESAB Miniarc Rogue Compact Stick/Lift TIG Inverter Offers Industry-Best Combination of Performance, Price
Annapolis Junction, Md. – ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced the Miniarc Rogue ES 180i, a new portable and affordable Stick/Lift TIG inverter with professional arc performance and controls such as adjustable hot start, adjustable arc force and power factor correction. The unit weighs 18.2 lbs., measures 13.5 x 6 x 10.4 in., delivers a maximum output of 180 amps at 25 percent duty cycle and uses 115 – 230V 50/60 Hz primary power.
Miniarc Rogue’s next-level control technology produces a smooth welding arc with all types of Stick electrodes, including E70818 and E6010, and it has the power to run 5/32-in. electrodes. The Lift TIG (DC TIG) function provides positive arc starts ...
Annapolis Junction, Md. – ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has updated its Quick Weld Productivity Analyzer ( esab.com/esab-qwpa), an easy-to-use calculator for total weld cost analysis, so users can generate a PDF report. The PDF includes a QR Code users can scan with their mobile phone that takes them back to their original calculation and input variables; users can then adjust the variables to create alternative calculations and generate a new PDF report.
The updated calculator includes more filler metal selections for the North American market. Globally, improved links from the QWPA only present filler metals and welding equipment that are available in the country of origin.
Annapolis Junction, Md. – Victor®, an ESAB brand, today announced winners in its Rulers of the Flame oxy-fuel student contest. Students from a total of six schools participated in two categories — either a team fabrication project or an essay competition — centered on the Rulers of the Flame contest theme.
The individual winners are Joshua Doyle from Springfield Clark Career Technology Center, Springfield, Ohio (instructor Brian Sheward); Kyle Hiener from Oxarc Welding School, Spokane, Wash. (instructor Andrew Delateur) and Elizabeth Chaney from Carroll County Career & Technology Center, Westminster, Md. (instructor Michael Schweinsberg).
