Primeweld 71 LT H4

ESAB Primeweld™ seamless cored wires are a unique line of non-copper-coated wires that utilize an exclusive manufacturing process to produce a high-quality laser-welded seam wire without the need for copper plating. Primeweld wires have very low weld metal diffusible hydrogen levels (typically 3 mL/100g weld metal) and remain low even after exposure to high humidity levels and temperatures. This minimizes the risk of hydrogen-induced cold cracking (HICC) when welding thicker components. Primeweld wires have improved wire stiffness and controlled surface lubrication which provides a soft spatter-free and stable arc with excellent feedability.

Primeweld 71 LT H4 is an all-position wire developed for low and medium carbon steels for use with either 100% CO2 or 75% Ar/25% CO2 shielding gas. Applications include off-shore oil components, shipbuilding and heavy equipment fabrication where excellent low-temperature toughness is required.
