ESAB Sureweld Pipe Welding Electrodes Offer Superior Vertical-Down Welding Capabilities for Pipe Welding

Florence, SC - – ESAB Welding & Cutting Products will display selected products from its Sureweld line of pipe welding electrodes at FABTECH International. ESAB’s Sureweld pipe welding electrodes offer the consistent, deep penetration required to maintain a proper keyhole for vertical-down welding in open root pipe joints and ensure x-ray quality welds in all positions.

Sureweld 10P provides an aggressive, deep penetrating arc, while Sureweld 10P-Plus offers a softer arc and smoother weld. Both products meet specifications for AWS Class E6010. Sureweld 10P is specifically designed to improve the ductility of the weld deposit while maintaining the welding characteristics of a standard pipe-welding electrode. Sureweld 10P-Plus offers better arc direction and less spatter and performs better than 10P in the vertical up position.

Both Sureweld 10P and 10P-Plus are recommended for welding API grades A25, A, B, and X42 pipe and may be used to weld root passes in higher-grade pipe under certain circumstances. The products are typically used for general structural, ship, barge, and storage tank fabrication. Sureweld 10P is an excellent choice for welding galvanized steel.

Sureweld 10P and 10P-Plus are available in cartons, cans and Quad Pacs. The 10P-Plus is also available in Value Pacs.
