ESAB’s Shield-Bright® X-tra Stainless Flux-Cored Wire Designed for Flat/Horizontal Position Welding

Florence, SC – ESAB designed Shield-Bright X-tra stainless flux-cored wires to meet growing market demand for flat and horizontal position-type stainless flux-cored wires. This product will be demonstrated at this year’s FABTECH International show.

Shield-Bright X-tra products are specially formulated to deliver exceptional performance when used with 75% Argon/25% CO2 or 100% CO2 shielding gases. Shield-Bright X-tra produces a user-satisfying bright silver-colored weld bead. Spatter level and easy slag removal meet or exceed all fabricator’s expectations.

The Shield-Bright X-tra product line includes 308L, 309L, 309Lmo, 316L and 317L types in .035, .045 and 1/16” diameters. (308L and 316L will be demonstrated). Their mechanical properties meet or exceed industry standards. ESAB also processes special orders for applications that require modified deposit chemistries. All products are vacuum-sealed in a specially-developed foil bag and packed in a heavy duty corrugated carton.
