Multipower 460 offers high performance Mig, Pulse Mig, Tig and Stick Electrode welding and Air Carbon Arc Gouging capabilities and is excellent for welding with flux cored wire. MultiPower 460’s SuperSwitch Technology design provides superior inverter-like performance in the welding arc while providing SCR-like (silicon controlled rectifier) reliability. The variable inductance feature permits fine tuning of the arc characteristics for short arc welding. A built-in arc force control provides superior stick electrode performance. Synergetic/non-synergetic Mig Pulse welding capability (standard with the pulse unit, optional on the standard unit), with the intelligence built into the power source, allows Pulse Mig welding to be done with almost any wire feeder. MultiPower 460 uses 60% less current than conventional SCR machines. With a 92% efficiency figure, Multipower leads its class in energy savings and reduced power costs. The unit comes standard with an auto fan feature that saves energy by automatically turning the fan motor on or off as needed. A convenient 115vac auxiliary power receptacle is standard.
