MobileMaster IV Wire Feeder Offers Four Driven Roll Feed Stand

Florence, SC – MobileMaster IV, the newest member of ESAB’s line of MobileMaster 2cvcc/2cv wire feeders, is designed for welding applications in harsh environments, such as construction sites, pipe lines, shipyards, offshore, general fabrication and mobile welding rigs, MobileMaster IV features the same rugged design and safety features as the rest of the MobileMaster line, but adds greater capability with a new four driven roll feed stand for improved wire feed reliability.

MobileMaster IV operates with reverse polarity (electrode +) or straight polarity (electrode -). A permanent magnet drive motor with PWM drive and solid-state control provides powerful, dependable wire feeding and controlled wire acceleration for smooth arc starts and chatter-free operation. The wire drive system uses dual groove feed rolls and a gear-driven pressure roll for maximum feeding force.

MobileMaster IV also features a totally enclosed, impact-resistant case to protect the welding wire from dirt, metal grit, moisture and other contaminants. A unique “rain gutter” door design keeps water from dripping into the wire compartment. The controls are located within a recessed front panel to protect dials and switches. The metal reinforced, flame-retardant molded composite case will withstand extreme abuse from hot slag, grinding sparks, corrosive chemicals, knocks, bumps and drops. MobileMaster IV offer even greater rigidity than previous models. A reinforced torch connection, improved cable strain relief, and new skid plate base add to the rugged endurance of this new model. The enclosed contactor extends contactor life and eliminates annoying contact flash.

Safety features include an insulated case, low voltage torch trigger circuit and overload protection. MobileMaster IV meets the most rigid safety standards for U.S. and Canadian requirements and meets IEC-974-1 specifications.
