United Way Presents ESAB with Spirit Award

Mississauga, ON – ESAB Welding & Cutting Products is a proud supporter of the United Way. Every year, ESAB employees and vendors across Canada participate in fundraising activities to raise money for the United Way and the charitable agencies they fund recognizing the important services they provide in our communities.

ESAB’s 2008 fundraising campaign, led by Agnes Taylor, ESAB Canada’s United Way Committee Chair, resulted in a 4.6% increase in donations from 2007 and earned ESAB the United Way Spirit Award for Outstanding Joint Union-Management Campaign presented by the United Way of Peel Region.

This award is presented to a workplace campaign run jointly by union members and management that exemplifies teamwork, leadership and community giving. ESAB received this award in the public sector-100 employees or less category. This is the 9th United Way Spirit Award for ESAB Canada. ESAB thanks all their employees and vendors for their participation in making the 2008 campaign a success.
