Cylinders stored inside buildings must
be kept at least 20 feet from combustible materials. Store
oxygen cylinders separately from fuel gas cylinders. Unless
a fire-resistant noncombustible partition, at least
5 feet high, is used to separate the two types of cylinders, a minimum 20-foot
separation should be maintained.
Always keep empty cylinders separate
from full cylinders. For
complete information on storage and manifolding of cylinders, refer to National
Fire Protection Association
(NFPA) Standard No. 51.
