20 Spoolarc
81 AWS Class EM12K
Description: n
Medium manganese and silicon wire -
nominal rust and mill scale tolerance. n
Usable with active or neutral
fluxes. n
Developed for general purpose welding
on low and medium carbon steels. n
Applications include structural steels,
medium strength pressure vessels, ship, barge and offshore oil rig fabrication.
n
Usable with Unionmelt 50, 60, 80, 585,
429, 439, 429M, 231, 350, 350M, 651VF and 656 fluxes. n
Wire diameters: 1/16" (1.6 mm),
5/64" (2.0 mm), 3/32" (2.4 mm), 1/8" (3.2 mm), 5/32" (4.0 mm) & 3/16" (4.8
mm). Spoolarc
36 AWS Class EH14
Description: n
High manganese wire for single or multipass
welding. n
Produces higher strength levels than
either Spoolarc 80 or 81 wires. n
Best mechanical properties, both as
welded and stress relieved, are possible when used with a neutral fused flux.
n
Spoolarc 36 can also be used for electroslag
welding on mild steel. n
Applications include seam welding on
hot water tanks, valves and fittings, heavy structural steel fabrication, and
some short term
postweld heat treatment. n
Usable with Unionmelt 50, 60, 80, 124
and 585 fluxes. n
Wire diameters: 1/16" (1.6 mm),
5/64" (2.0 mm), 3/32" (2.4 mm), 1/8" (3.2 mm), 5/32" (4.0 mm) & 3/16" (4.8
mm). Spoolarc
53 AWS Class EH12K
Description: n
Designed for single or multipass welding
on carbon and low alloy steels. n
Provides higher strength deposits with
moderate rust and mill scale tolerance. n
Produces good impact toughness.
n
Usable with Unionmelt 439, 651VF, and
656 fluxes. n
Applications include pressure vessel
fabrication and offshore oil rig structures. n
Wire diameters: 3/32" (2.4 mm), 1/8"
(3.2 mm), 5/32" (4.0 mm) & 3/16" (4.8 mm).
