26 Small Diameter Stainless Steel Wires For use on portable MIG machines Stainless Steel: 308L Hi-Sil General Characteristics All-State® 308L Hi-Sil .023 (.6mm) is a smooth drawn, uniform surfaced wire with excellent welding characteristics. Each spool is individually wrapped and poly bagged to retain its “stainless” finish. The addition of silicon to this chrome nickel alloy significantly increases its wetting action, resulting in a smooth, evenly rippled weld bead at faster travel speeds. Typical Applications Especially useful in applications where uniform appearance is essential such as appliances, furniture and hospital, kitchen, and food processing equipment. For use on stainless steel types 304, 305, 308L, 321, and 347 as well as other 18-9 stainless steels where carbide precipitation may arise.
