1 All-State® No. 100 High Strength, Cadmium Free Silver Brazing Alloy Torch, Furnace or Induction Application General Characteristics All-State® No. 100 contains nickel and is free of cadmium. Its nickel content will inhibit interface corrosion when applied to stainless steel and improves wetting ability when used on carbide tools as well as improved corrosion resistance to sea water. Typical Applications Brazing carbide tool assemblies, joining parts subjected to corrosive materials and atmospheres, fabricating and repairing stainless steel food handling equipment, and joining ferrous and nonferrous materials (excluding the white metals). Qualities Tensile strength—up to 60,000 psi (42.19 kgs/mm2) Working temperatures—1250°-1400°F (677°-760°C) Corrosion resistance—very good AWS A5.8, Class BAg-4 Procedures Thoroughly clean area to be brazed. Recommended joint clearance is .002" to .005". Paint joint area with All- State® No. 110 or S-200 Flux reduced with water or alcohol if necessary. With a slightly carburizing flame heat joint rapidly and uniformly keeping torch in constant motion. Allow to cool slowly and then remove flux residue with warm water.
