3 All-State® No. 34 Smoothcote® Extruded Aluminum Electrode DC Reverse Polarity (Electrode +) All Position General Characteristics This electrode is a premium quality core wire with an extruded coating that is dense and free of air holes often associated with dip coated electrodes. The combination of the core wire and the coating gives All-State® No. 34 a very quiet arc which will deposit a dense, smooth, spatter-free weld in all positions with good color match to the base metal. Typical Applications Recommended for sheets, plates and castings of 1/8" thickness or heavier. It is widely used in production and maintenance of tanks, pipes, heavy and light aluminum castings, structural members, foundry patterns, automotive parts and protective railings. This electrode is very useful for repairing cracks, building up missing sections, cladding and reinforcing. Qualities Tensile strength —up to 34,000 psi (23.91 kgs/mm2) Color match   —good (will darken if anodized)
