All-State® Low Fuming Bronze Low Fuming Bronze (Bare and FC) General Purpose Brazing Rod Torch Application General Characteristics All-State® Low Fuming Bronze is available in two types: 1) Bare for use with All-State Brazaloy® General Purpose Brazing Flux or the All-State Jet Flux® Dispenser; 2) Flux-coated. In either form, the alloy is designed to meet today’s high industrial standards. The flux coated rods have a waterless coating that gives a superior cleaning action and promotes wetting qualities. Typical Applications Fabricating or repairing steels, cast iron, copper base metals, galvanized and malleable irons or any combination of these metals. Qualities Tensile strength                 —up to 60,000 psi (42.19 kgs/mm2) Working temperatures      —1600°F (871°C) (approx.) Specifications                     —AWS A5.7 (R CuZn-C) QQ-R 571-a (R CuZn-3) Procedures Clean joint area. Heat base metal using a neutral flame. Apply small amount of flux by melting the coating, or if bare rods are used, dip the end of heated rod into All-State Brazo Flux and then apply to the work. Continue to heat. Melt a drop of alloy when flux turns liquid. Continue this procedure until job is complete. The All-State Jet Flux® Dispenser is recommended for use with bare rods for convenience and speed.
