2 Procedures Clean joint area. Paint area with All-State® No. 1113 Paste Flux; assemble parts making sure a close fit is maintained. A joint clearance of .001" to .003" will give maximum strengths. Heat with a neutral flame until flux turns liquid. Add sufficient alloy to fill joint. If All-State® No. 11FC is used, heat base metal to a dull red; melt small amount of flux and alloy off at the joint and continue to heat until alloy flows. All-State® No. 5 Flux is recommended for better bonding qualities on stainless steel and cast iron. Sizes 1/16" (1.6mm) x 18" (450mm) bare only. 3/32" (2.4mm) and 1/8" (3.2mm) x 18" (450mm) both bare and flux coated. Identification All-State® 11 or 11FC printed on package. Flux coated rods have white colored coating. Bare rods have black color on tip of rod. Packaging 1/16" (1.6mm), 3/32" (2.4mm) and 1/8" (3.2mm) bare in 1-lb. (.45 kg) and 10-lb. (4.54 kg) containers. 3/32" (2.4mm) and 1/8" (3.2mm) flux coated in 1-lb. (.45 kg), 3-lb. (1.36 kg) and 10-lb. (4.54 kg) containers.
