General Characteristics
Works, melts, and solders just like
50/50 lead-tin but contains no lead, no zinc, no cadmium, no antimony.
Excellent capping off ability,
penetration, and flow. Aquasafe 100 meets all Government and Plumbing Code
specifications for potable water systems,
sanitary applications, and food and ice-making machinery.
Typical Applications
Recommended primarily for leak-proof
joints on copper, steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloy potable water and
food machinery lines where lead-free

Clean joint area and paint with Aquasafe®
paste flux or Duzall® liquid flux. Bring
base metal to 418°F (214°C) using
torch or soldering iron. Apply solder
when flux starts to bubble. Solder is workable between 418°F (214°C)
and 440°F
(227°C). Allow liquified solder to cool before removing flux residue with
hot water.
