All-State HS-65W® The Ultimate Hardfacing Electrode for Extreme Abrasive Conditions AC/DC Reverse General Characteristics HS-65W® is a highly alloyed electrode that gives the greatest possible wear resistance in applications involving extreme wet or dry sliding mineral abrasion or corrosion. Typical Applications Ideal for components and parts operating under extremely severe conditions experienced by earth moving equipment and wear resisting parts in cement mills and brick manufacturing. Qualities This uniquely complex alloy formulation can produce a hardness of Rc 65 on the first layer and up to Rc 67 on the second layer. Two layers maximum are recommended. In addition, this versatile electrode has good hardness at temperatures up to 1200°F (649°C). Procedures Stringer beads recommended. Remove slag prior to making next weld. Hold the electrode over the weld puddle instead of slightly in front of it. Diameters and Recommended Amperages   1/8" (3.2mm)—130 5/32" (4.0mm)—170 3/16" (4.8mm)—220 Identification All-State HS-65W® printed on electrode coating and package. Packaging All sizes in 3-lb. (1.36 kg) and 10-lb. (4.54 kg) containers.
